How do you add friends on myspace?

I'm new to this whole myspace thing i just created a myspace page and i wanted to know how to add friends, and how long does it take for the person to add you as a friend?

all you have to do is go onto someones page on the left hand side there will be a box in side the box it probably says "Send Message" "Add" "IM" and sometimes others

Go to their page.
Click "add", where the contact table is. [You should be able to tell.]
It takes however long they allow it to take?
They might deny you. So in order to know whether or not they've done that, you have to view your pending requests.

go to there page and click add to friends

once your on someone's page go to a a box that is under their picture and stuff.....it should say message me ADD me, delete me, emial me ect.
