Evidence of Crime on Myspace Page
September 23rd, 2009 | by Jen |In Lancaster County, the New Holland Police Department arrests and charges four teens with criminal trespass.
Police say on July 8th, a family, who lives on the 200 block of East Jackson Street, reported their home had been broken into while they were away on vacation. The residents told police $4,000 worth of items was taken from the home.
Now, a couple of months later, police charged 18-year-old Victoria Martin, of Denver, 18-year-old Morgan Nuessle, 18-year-old Joshua Handel, of New Holland, and 19-year-old Amelio Sanchez, of Leola, with the crimes.
Police say the teens were friends with family members, but that it’s safe to say those ties have been severed. Authorities tell us, once the teens gained entry, they threw a party inside the home.
New Holland police say the alleged criminals posted pictures on Myspace of themselves hanging out inside the home they allegedly broke into. The pictures became the proof police needed to make arrests.
“I would imagine they are kicking themselves right now,” says Chief John Yost of the New Holland Police Department.
Police say they have no reason to believe the four teens had anything to do with the $4,000 worth of items reportedly stolen from the home.
Police say the investigation continues.
